laughing room:

This performance installation piece was conceived around the overwhelming, anxiety and fear connected to being laughed at. In this piece viewers enter a completely darkened room, which is lit by the slow erythematic projections of giant mouths. The images are projected across a nude figure tucked at the end of a 25-foot white hallway. The room is filled with the haunting sounds of laugher. The laughter transition from a soft quite nervous giggle to the cackling of an entire room of uncontrollable laughter. The figure sits vulnerable and fragile with the sound of laughter filling the space, the image projections revealing the figure, while the viewer chooses where to observe from, how long to stay, and when to leave the piece.
